about

I wrote 'Notice Me' about that admiration you feel for a crush that simply has no idea how you feel about them. No matter what you do. It goes completely over their head. Everyone's been there one time or another.

lyrics

Notice Me

Verse 1:
The way you move. The way you smile. The way I can’t help but stare at you for a while.
The way you walk. The way you sing. I just love what you do when you doin’ everything.

So baby give me one chance and I’ll show you what it’s like to be in love.
Just come and take my hand and we’ll walk down the golden road that has no end.
But we can’t because you don’t even know me.

Chorus:
I don’t understand it. Why you do the things that you do. (I don’t understand it)
Want you to notice me.
I don’t understand it. You don’t know that I’m lovin’ you (I don’t understand it)
Boy you’re breaking my heart
You’re breaking my heart (x5)

Verse 2:
The way you dance on the stage. The way you put your audience in a daze.
It’s your swag. Must be your style. And everything that you do makes me smile.

So baby give me one good reason not to love you
Other than what I already know
What I see is pleasin’ to me. But you have no idea. Ooo

Chorus:
I don’t understand it. Why you do the things that you do. (I don’t understand it)
Want you to notice me.
I don’t understand it. You don’t know that I’m lovin’ you (I don’t understand it)
Boy you’re breaking my heart
You’re breaking my heart (x5)

Bridge:
Boy don’t you know I’m your biggest fan.
I’m probably too little to see way back in the stands.
But there I am screaming your name calling out to you.
Hoping you hear every word I’m saying is true.
Just like Mr. Vandross said, you are my superstar. But you don’t know me.

Vamp:
I don’t understand it (x7)

You’re breaking my heart (x12)
